MiG-35 Booth
Multimedia booth at the MAKS 2019 airshow
The goal
Make the MiG-35 stand out among the other manufacturers’ aircraft, and build a demonstration tool for presenting the jet to customers.
The solution
We designed a plinth and a load-bearing structure for the aircraft and installed an LED screen. The screen ran purpose-built 3D content laying out the key characteristics of the MiG-35. The plinth, the large structure above it and 50 sq m of screen set the jet apart.
Graphics
We had 15 days to produce the content. In that time we developed and pitched several visual directions. Final resolution of the video content: 6000 × 1800 px.
How the booth was designed
After a round of sketches we settled on a design with a plinth for the aircraft, a load-bearing structure and an LED screen. Sunlight calculations showed that a canopy was needed to raise the contrast of the image on the screen. The structure is built from Layher truss elements and wrapped in fully printed banner fabric.
Aircraft livery
To get the strongest presentation effect we developed a special livery — the paint design of the aircraft. The painting process set the limits: two colors, light blue and white, applied through stencils.
